Personalised Animal Rescue and Pet Adoption

Hello!
We are Sarabi - Paws With a Cause.
We are a non-profit animal rescue and rehabilitation centre based in Cape Town that is passionate about improving the well-being of animals in the Cape community. We focus on rescuing at-risk and stray animals in the area, and help to stabilise the stray population in the area.

Sarabi provides pet adoption services that see our rescued animals become beloved pets. Our personalised approach means that every pet finds the right home, and that every adoption family feels the love and joy that a pet brings with them.

About Sarabi

In 2019 “SARABI Paws with a Cause” was registered as an NPC business with the vision to assist animals in need. We also guide and educate people in the community to better understand their animals, the reason for their behaviour, what to expect for that specific breed – and of course how to accommodate them and help them to become a functional member of the family.

SARABI also assesses specific animals to establish what they have been exposed to, how it has affected their development, and determine the best possible environment and care plan for each dog.

SARABI is about commitment.

The commitment between dog and owner – to love and serve each other always, because a pet is for life.

We find homes for unwanted cats, dogs, and small pets across Durbanville and Cape Town.

Our tailor-made pet adoption service means we help each rescue animal find the right person for them. Find out more about our rehoming process and why you should adopt from Sarabi.

The Benefits of Adopting a Pet from Sarabi - Paws with a Cause

When you re-home a rescue animal, you'll give an abandoned or abused pet the chance of a happy future – but there are other benefits too.

All-inclusive pet adoption

All animals that come to Sarabi are fully assessed and are:

  • Vaccinated, microchipped, de-wormed and neutered
  • Examined by a vet and treated as needed
  • Assessed for any trauma or retraining requirements
  • Carefully and patiently trained to be re--homed with ease
Tailor-made rehoming

We’ll work hard to find a pet that’s the best fit for you and your lifestyle. We really want to ensure you and your new family-member share a happy future together. Our tailor-made rehoming looks at each case individually to ensure you go home with the right pet. We don’t have any fixed rules about what makes the perfect home because we know every pet and their needs are unique and special.

Please look through our current pets waiting for new homes to find a pet you think is right for you. Fill out the ‘I would like to adopt this orphan’ form you’ll find on their page, and we will get in touch with you. The information you enter on this form will help us make sure that we find the right pet for you and your home.
